This week I had the pleasure of meeting the Norfolk Haltonions "Tuesday Walkers". Geoff Williams contacted Phones for Heroes after making a collection of mobile phones to donate in support of Help for Heroes.
The Norfolk Haltonions are all ex RAF Apprentices once based at RAF Halton. Some of the ex servicemen served for an impressive 30 years. With their time in the RAF now behind them, they still meet every week as the "Tuesday Walkers club" at their local cafe, Forget-me-not in Lenwade Norfolk. Each week they come together for a walk in the local area, a catch up with old friends and then lunch in the cafe. The Forget-Me-Not cafe, Lenwade, is run by Angela Osbourn who has kindly placed P4H envelopes on the cafe counter for people to collect. Her husband David managed to collect many unwanted phones from his office after seeing these P4H envelopes. The RAF Haltonians and Angela gathered together in the glorious Norfolk sunshine for a photo of their fantastic efforts.
Thank you all for your donations.
