Phones donated by the Norfolk Haltonians

This week I had the pleasure of meeting the Norfolk Haltonions "Tuesday Walkers". Geoff Williams contacted Phones for Heroes after making a collection of mobile phones to donate in support of Help for Heroes.
The Norfolk Haltonions are all ex RAF Apprentices once based at RAF Halton. Some of the ex servicemen served for an impressive 30 years. With their time in the RAF now behind them, they still meet every week as the "Tuesday Walkers club" at their local cafe, Forget-me-not in Lenwade Norfolk. Each week they come together for a walk in the local area, a catch up with old friends and then lunch in the cafe. The Forget-Me-Not cafe, Lenwade, is run by Angela Osbourn who has kindly placed P4H envelopes on the cafe counter for people to collect. Her husband David managed to collect many unwanted phones from his office after seeing these P4H envelopes. The RAF Haltonians and Angela gathered together in the glorious Norfolk sunshine for a photo of their fantastic efforts.
Thank you all for your donations.

About Phones for Heroes

Phones for Heroes (P4H) is a mobile phone recycling project. Its aim is simple - to raise money for the charity Help for Heroes and provide ongoing support for the great work that this charity does.

Phones for Heroes was set up in March 2010 by Inturn Trading Ltd, a Norfolk based trader of mobile phone parts and accessories. The project was started by Lucian Bertea and Johnny Wyndham both of whom were keen to support the charity Help for Heroes through this initiative.

The project is now entering its second year and is constantly growing as the support from individuals and businesses increases nationally. Phones for Heroes has been able to donate £40,000 to Help for Heroes to date.

60% of proceeds from the donations after allowing for collection, delivery and ancillary expenses goes directly to Help for Heroes to aid the practical, direct support being given to our wounded troops.

Inturn Trading Ltd is very proud to be able to support Help for Heroes in this way and hopes to be able to continue supporting our troops.
